Manage Filters for a List View in MDOpen

Filters can be defined for any menu option that results in a list view and the view contains at least 1 editable filter field.

Create a Filter

A filter can be created prior to opening the view by hovering over the menu option and clicking on the Create Filter icon.

A filter can also be created while in the view by clicking the Adjust filter icon in the header to set/change the filter values. Then, click on the Save filter as icon in the header to save the filter for use in the future.

Copy, Edit or Delete a Filter

A saved filter can be managed by hovering over the filter name in the Active Connection menu and then clicking on the corresponding icon.

The Filter Panel

filter panel

The filter panel will be displayed when creating, copying or editing a filter definition.

Filter name

This is a required field if you will be saving the filter definition for future use. If for single use, the field can be ignored.

Filter fields

Each editable filter field for the specific view will be displayed in the panel.

Any values that are entered will result in limiting the list of elements for the view by those matching the value for the field.

If values are entered for multiple fields, then a row will be included in the view only if it matches the value on each of those fields.
