Dashboard

The Object Dashboard Diagram is a stand-alone diagram visualizes the content of the Object Dashboard, adding context about the flow of control between the root object and all other objects and procedures.

The Object Dashboard Diagram can be invoked from any of the Programs, Modules, Procedures or any files in MDVisual

The diagram displays a single level relationship between the root element(eg. CNTCMAINT), and dependant categories of attributes.

Some Object Dashboard attributes are NOT in the diagram as categories, such as fields/variables.

The Object Dashboard Diagram is graphical visualization of the Object Dashboard.

Each Object Dashboard attribute is rendered inside a colour-coded group in the diagram. These categories can be suppressed or expanded by the toggle switch for each, or by expanding or hiding all using the toggle in the header.

Additional sub-categories have been added to provide useful context. for example calling programs or called programs.

In the DB2 category additional icon/colour coding have been provided to show the IO type. Red DB icon implies an update is taking place. Green DB icon implies input only. Blue DB icon implies input/output.

Each element in the diagram can be right clicked to select addtional options such as Object Dashboard, File where used,Field Usage, Data Model Diagram etc.

Dashboard diagram screen has an option to publish the markdown document having dahsboard diagram as well dashboard data details. It can be invoked by clicking on alt text icon.

The screen asking for path and document name is as follows :

after filling the required information create button will generate the mark down document of dashboard diagram and details on the documenter server.
